If you love working with people, and would enjoy providing non-medical, in-home companion care to seniors or disabled adults , then we invite you to join our family of caregivers.
We provide such in-home care services as companionship, personal care, errands, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, incidental transportation, and medication reminders.
What It Takes
All Peace for You In-Home Care companion caregivers must complete the Certified Companion program. This includes completion of study of core subjects relating to senior care, with successful passing of a battery of tests to receive the certification. This certification ensures that each caregiver is proficient in skills necessary to provide exceptional care and peace for our clients and loved ones.
All Peace for You In-Home Care companion caregivers and certified nurse assistants (CNAs) are required to participate in in-service training to stay proficient in their skills set.
What We Offer
At Peace for You In-Home Care, hours are flexible, depending on your schedule. Our clients require a minimum of four hours’ service per visit, so caregivers must to be able to work at least four hours at a time. We work to provide you as many hours a week as you would like, whether it be with one or multiple clients. Advancement from within creates opportunities for those who wish to move ahead in their career and their pay scale.
What We Require
Every companion caregiver and CNA must have:
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Insured, reliable vehicle
All CNA also must have current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid training.
Those with a prior criminal record, a history of drug or alcohol abuse, or an active communicable disease, such as tuberculosis (TB), will not be considered for employment. Extensive background checks are performed prior to the hiring process.
Peace for You in-Home Care covers the cost of background checks and training, while the applicant is responsible for TB testing.
