Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of Dementia, but there are other forms as well, each with their own unique challenges. There are different causes for each type of Dementia which can lead to varying symptoms and disease progression. We can provide in-home care to clients with various types of dementia. Our dementia care services are designed for individuals with vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and other memory disorders. Our services can be provided on a part-time or full-time basis. We also offer 24/7 care, temporary care and respite care.
Peace For You In-Home Care understands that it can be difficult to discuss Dementia/Alzheimer’s care. Searching for the right care provider and developing a plan to take care of your loved one’s needs can be overwhelming. Our priority is to provide education and resources to make the process as easy as possible for families.
Once you contact us, we will schedule a free, no-obligation consultation with our nurse. The nurse will gather information about your loved one’s specific condition. We will discuss the type of schedule and care tasks that will best suit their needs based on established routines and family caregiver schedules. After the consultation, we will provide a written plan of care including personal care and companion care tasks that are needed for the client.
The last step following the development of the plan of care will be to match the client with a qualified caregiver. The caregiver client relationship is very important. Caregivers placed with Dementia clients are knowledgeable and trained specifically in Dementia/Alzheimer’s care. Our caregivers understand while Dementia/Alzheimer’s are commonly known as memory disorders resulting in forgetfulness and confusion, there can be many other symptoms associated with the disease and its
progression. We will work closely with you to find the right caregiver for your loved one.
The plan of care can change over time. Our nurse will make regular supervisory visits to determine if the level of care being provided remains appropriate.
